B12 - Last Days of Silence Remixes (B12 RECORDS)  The B12 boys are back, with the 'Last Days of Silence Remix' project, the eloquent follow-up to the same titled album, as this time around, Steve Rutter and Mike Golding take time to explore in greater depth some of the highlights from the original long player. There are completely new mixes of 'Don't Be Afraid', 'More than One' & 'Omni Therapy'; whilst a few completely new tracks also debut, these actually being my favourite selections from this latest release, in the shape of 'I See You', 'Darkest Light' and 'Within Reason', revealing a slightly twisted, almost stark and chilly, electronic funk. The overall feel of this accompaniment to the original score is much darker, more soul-searching and takes on much more of a listening perspective as opposed to the dancefloor direction of the original album, and as such is very satisfying indeed. I am quite sure that this release will be looked upon in years to come with similar affection to those early B12 classics and as such comes thoroughly recommended.
