Limited repress! Introducing Patrice Scott, long time friend and DJ partner of Mr Reggie Dokes and now forming his very own label, straight outta Detroit MI, namely Sistrum Recordings. Three tracks are showcased on this strong debut release, where 'Atmospheric Emotions' carries off the early, smooth Chicago house sound in superb style, with dreamy chords and hypnotic synth work, which echoes of many a Mr Fingers classic. Favourite tracks though appear over on the b-side, where 'Inside My Mind' owes its roots to that gorgeous Psychostasia sound, gentle bongos and dreamy piano touches giving the whole piece a light, velvet texture emulating a feeling of total tranquility. Of similar nature is 'Blessings', this time with muted, shifting bass taking things deeper before the EP closes. Mastered at the NSC foundry. Keep a watch for forthcoming new material from Patrice on the aforementioned Psychostasia Recordings… Yeah!!
