Sistrum proudly welcomes the return of Mr. Kosta Athanassiadis, aka XDB, back to the fold with the deep, hypnotic electronics of the Frocks EP. Featuring Patrice Scott on remix duties, this is another quality installment in the revered Sistrum catalog. Dark, deep and slow building, 'Frocks' masterfully layers ply-upon-ply of synth textures to create a truly hypnotic sonic excursion into the recesses of your soul. XDB's subtlety and attention to detail is on display for all who listen intently. 'Modula' takes the listener deeper into XDB’s sonic galaxy, bringing forth sublime, reverberant acid lines, delicate analog strings and classic, round bass tones to both soothe and move. Sistrum founder, Patrice Scott unites with XDB once again and offers up his take on the title cut, tuned slightly more for the dancefloor with a heavier kick and bassline, yet deep as ever with his trademark swirling synth tones and shimmering chord structures.
