Finally available on vinyl again, this seminal classic long-player formed part of Drexciya's revered Storm series back in 2001. Some seventeen years on and this masterpiece remains as relevant and as influential as ever, encompassing the direction of James Stinson's solo work at that time, which was very much a more melodic, warmer and perhaps welcoming sound to what we had largely become accustomed to from the work Stinson produced alongside Gerald Donald as Drexciya. It is true to say that Lifestyles of the Laptop Café has since become the virtual and at times perhaps unconscious blueprint for the electro-techno-soul entourage. Equally or perhaps arguable even more essential than any of the other chapters in the aforementioned Drexciya 'Storm' series, it is for sure certainly justified to mark this album as an essential part of any serious electronic music collection. This double-vinyl reissue is supplied in full picture jacket and with digital download code.
